Michael McGar has been a leader and innovator in media development since leaving Art Center College of Design as an oil painter/illustrator 30 years ago. Starting his career as a nationally published illustrator and then transitioning to interactive and web-enabled communications, social media development, mobile app design, visual effects and video production, Michael has the rare combination of creative, storytelling, visual, technical, and marketing talents. These talents have led him to conceive and develop a steady stream of successful, award winning consumer media products as well as form a string of successful companies while creating and developing 3 Patent-Pending products in the process.
Michael sees the world of communications as interconnected and emmersive, a world where all media combine to create rich, compelling, mobile-enhanced experiences.
As an entrepreneur, Michael founded several media-based organizations. This has included an Apple Multimedia Center, as well as Locomotion Studios, Alchemy Studios (now Alchemy Systems), and Center Stripe Films.
