Caseworker Management iPhone App

Overview
This is an iphone application for case managers and counselors working with the homeless to use while doing outreach in the field. The application allows them to access information about clients that are in the system while they are in the field – where it’s convenient – rather than back in the office, where information may not be as readily accessable or correct. The application gives the user the ability to add new clients, take notes and find nearby services available for individuals.
More About This Project
Section one shows annotated click-through screens for a case manager in the field working with one of their existing clients. The user is able to access information about the client, find nearby services for the client and add notes. Section two shows annotated click-through screens for a case manager in the field working adding a new individual to the system. The user is able to search the system, create a new entry, receive a new service number for the individual and take notes. Ultimately, the application serves to ease the workload on the caseworker and add convenience for the homeless individual, driving towards a more effective engagement for both parties. All content for this application was inspired by design research conducted with homeless in Austin, as part of our project with Austin Resource Center for the Homeless.
