Meg McLaughlin

Born and raised in Upstate New York, Meg spent the long winters of her youth rebuilding old computers and drawing portraits of her heroines. She received her BFA from Alfred University in 2010 before moving to Austin to join AmeriCorps. Since then, she has taught photography at the George Eastman House, led a youth art program at the Dougherty Arts Center, and developed her voice as a freelance illustrator.

With everything she does, Meg is interested in building and strengthening diverse, accessible communities. She is excited to expand her skill set at AC4D. She intends to use design thinking to search out new pathways for communities around existing barriers in our society, and in our city.
